Participation

There are a variety of opportunities to be involved in the 2010 Strathcona Centennial Expedition by volunteering in the organization and execution of the expedition, and associated events, as well as participating in the stages of the trip itself. Invaluable contributions can also be made to the expedition by donating to the Strathcona Centennial Legacy Fund and/or becoming an expedition sponsor.

Community events will be held in Campbell River, Port Alberni, Qualicum Beach and Victoria that need help planning and carrying out. Local museums, outdoor clubs and other organizations may be planning related activities and events. Watch your local newspapers, television and notice boards for events in your community or contact them locally to get involved.

The Expedition organizers are recruiting participants for some stages of the trip and specifically we are looking for a camp manager and cook. Participation is wide open but there will be a charge to cover food costs of $25 per person per day. See the expedition party schedule for more info.
