There are many intriguing storylines surrounding the Strathcona Park Centennial, all with compelling narratives and stunning visuals. The recent history of Strathcona starts a hundred years ago when Premier Sir Richard McBride set the land aside for the park. Fast forward to today and after a tumoltuous first ninety-nine years British Columbia is poised during the Olympic year to begin celebrations for not only the hundredth anniversary of Strathcona and Ellison's expedition but also of all of BC Parks during 2011. The Strathcona Centennial Expedition is just the beginning.
